Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Allie's Plate application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using Allie's Plate you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use. You retain ownership of the content you create (recipes, logs, plans). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you.

3. Acceptable use & user content

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or data; (c) reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service; (d) upload malicious code or content that infringes others' rights; or (e) resell or commercially exploit the Service without our permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Parts of the Service let you create and share content with other users — recipes, meal plans, profile details (username, display name, photo), and messages attached to shared items. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to share content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes others' rights. You can report a user or shared content and block users from within the app; we review reports promptly and may remove content, restrict sharing, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• Allie's Plate offers a free tier and an optional premium subscription. Premium is offered as a monthly plan ($5.99/month) and an annual plan ($49.99/year). The exact price, billing period, and any free-trial terms are always shown at the point of purchase, may vary by region and currency, and may change with notice.
• Subscriptions are auto-renewing. Unless cancelled, they renew automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method is charged the then-current rate.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Trial terms are disclosed at the point of purchase.
• Apple App Store purchases: billing is handled by Apple, charged to your Apple ID, and managed (including cancellation) in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Web purchases: billing is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). You can cancel from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds: except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. App Store purchases are subject to Apple's refund policies; web purchases are subject to our and the payment processor's policies.

5. End User License Agreement (EULA)

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Allie's Plate app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works of the app except as permitted by law. For the iOS app, this license is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce these Terms against you.

6. AI features

The Service uses AI to estimate nutrition from photos and text and to help personalize plans. AI output is an estimate and may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that nutrition data will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MACROLENS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, HEALTH OUTCOMES, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
